Harley has never had a “real” haircut or style. We’ve always just kept it trimmed and looking nice. The main problem with Harley’s hair, though, is that it is way too thick and it is hard for her to manage when it’s long. She has been growing it out for a little over a year so she could donate it to Locks of Love. The past few months have been miserable for her because of how thick her hair is. She toughed it out, though, and it was finally long enough to donate. She ended up with about 12″ to donate, which is amazing to me!
I made an appointment for her this past Friday, and the two of us took a trip to Pendleton. It was something she got to do by herself without her sisters. It was a very nice afternoon for the two of us.
I am proud of her for choosing to make this donation. She heard about Locks of Love and thought it would be a great thing to do. She kept telling me, “I want to help kids with cancer, Mom.” I am proud to be raising such a kind-hearted, giving daughter.
Too late to turn back now.

She loves her new ‘do!
