Last week was the Morrow County Fair, and it was Emma’s next to last year showing pigs for 4-H. This year, her pig’s name was Thor. He was HUGE! I was able to go to Heppner Thursday to watch her in conformation and Friday for showmanship. She did awesome, and I am so proud of her! I am constantly amazed at the gorgeous young woman who has taken the place of my chubby-cheeked cherub baby, and I can’t wait to see what the world has in store for her as she starts her senior year in high school.
Thursday Conformation
Friday Showmanship
During showmanship on Friday, Emma got behind Thor and he very deftly delivered a kick to her shin . . . right over a bruise she already had.
Emma has been busy all summer working and going to sports camps, so we haven’t gotten to spend a lot of time together. Seeing her excel and spending some great time with her was definitely the highlight of my week!
Good job last week, Big Girl, I love you, and I am more proud of you than you could ever understand!
