The newest addition to the Made for Mermaids Lounge & Lace collection is the Women’s Deanna Sweater. Deanna is the perfect, cozy off-the-shoulder sweater that is packed full of options!

M4M Women’s Deanna Sweater

As with all Made for Mermaids sewing patterns, the Deanna Sweater is a downloadable PDF pattern that includes layers, printing guide, and no-trim pages that overlap, making pattern assembly quick and easy.  The PDF files are available in US Letter, A4 paper, and AO copy shop sizes.  The Deanna uses light to medium weight knit with at least 30% stretch such as cotton jersey, poly jersey, poly blends, brushed poly, sweater knits, waffle knit, and light-weight cotton lycra. Bamboo, modal, and rayon blends will fit looser and result in a wider/looser neckline, and you may want to size down when using one of these blends.  The pattern includes sizes ranging from Gray to Red.

Features

The Deanna Sweater has tons of options, and it includes two necklines. An asymmetrical one shoulder option that can have short or long sleeves. The one-shoulder option is self-facing, making it super quick to sew. There is also an off the shoulder cowl option with long sleeves. Both neckline options have several hemlines including a hemmed top, sweater or dress. You can also choose from 3 split banded options- short bands, tall bands or a high-low band option.

I made two Deanna Sweaters in testing; both of them with the off-the-shoulder cowl neckline. The blue one includes the symmetrical split band hem, and for the floral version, I used the high-low split band hem. Both were made using sweater knit from Mily Mae Fabrics.
