Welome to To Do Tuesday May 30!
Christine at Stitch ALL The Things hosts To Do Tuesday. TDT is a great weekly motivator to finish projects and (for me) to keep my To Do List manageable.
My list from May 23:
1. Work on summer capsule wardrobe
2. Finish Bag Test for Sewing Pattern Testers Blog & Write Sew-A-Long Post
3. Finish Gift Sewing Project
4. Pattern Test for the Do It Better Yourself Club
I hope everyone had a wonderful week and extended weekend!
1. Work on Summer Capsule Wardrobe
The Summer Capsule wardrobe is nearly finished, and I have a couple basic pieces left to make, so I consider this project finished!
2. Finish Bag Test for Sewing Pattern Testers Blog & Write Sew-A-Long Post
This bag is seriously awesome! I finally took a picture of my finished bag! The bag for the sew-a-long is cut out and ready to sew. If you’re interested in the sew-a-long, it is going to start next week on the Sewing Pattern Testers Blog. The pattern is going to be free for the members of the Sewing Pattern Testers Blog Facebook Group. If you decide to join us (and the FB Group, keep in mind there is a Google Doc that you must fill out prior to having your request to join approved). The bag is the perfect size – it holds my wallet, notebook, tablet, and a couple smaller items. There is a slip pocket on one side and a zippered pocket on the other. I had just cleaned my stuff out of the car, so mine is a mess in this picture. Its not normally. 😀
3. Finish Gift Sewing Project
The pattern is traced and cut out, and I am ready to sew. I spent much of the weekend down with a cold and did not work on it, but I am determined finish this week!
4. Pattern Test for the Do It Better Yourself Club
The Babe Hoodie was my first time testing for Jessica, and I was thrilled! She has a great sense of fashion and style, and it shows in her pattern. This pattern is completely finished and released, and you can pick up your copy HERE. Read all about my Babe Hoodie Pattern Test.
This is graduation week, so it promises to be very busy. Harley’s next State Playoff softball game is this afternoon, and the outcome of the game will determine the activities for the remainder of our week. I finished several projects and crossed them off my list. Taking items off the list and moving on to new projects is always really satisfying!
1. Finish Gift Sewing Project
2. Sew Opera House Costumes
What are you working on this week?
Nature Girl. Mom. Wife. Friend. Photographer. Sewer. Crafter. Artist.
To borrow a phrase – “Yeet Ye Riche”
That bag is FABULOUS! I absolutely love it. And that hoodie is super cute!
Thank you so much! I have not made many bags, so I was pretty nervous, but this pattern is put together well and the instructions are great!
LOVE THAT BAG!!!! I swooned a bit, I admit! I’ll be following along in the group, but not sewing since I didn’t bring the machine (can’t tell you how many times I’ve already wished I had it in the few days we’ve been here).
Super love that hoodie too! Hoodies are my favorite to wear in the winter, I’ve saved your link for when I (finally!) start sewing clothing!
Wow! Amy! You had a great sewing week! Both the bag and the hoodie are wonderful! Hope graduation and the Playoff goes well for you daughter! This week will be full of special memories for you and your family!
