The stories they would tell . . .
- Long walks in 100+ degree weather
- Getting covered in lamb manure, mud, water, and sand every time they were worn
- Pretty painted toenails tucked safely inside
- Being dragged along behind 100+ pound lambs while they were being walked
- Going to “work” before the sun had been up for long (or was even up at all)
- Long, hot days and cool evenings walking lambs or working around our property
These boots can tell the stories of our summer. I heard a rumor once that you could tell a lot about a person by the shoes they wore.
I wonder what our shoes say about us . . .
