An Experiment

My friend, Lindsay, posted last week about a tradition she had as a child that was being passed on to her own children – the making of Swedish Pancakes (Slinks). The recipe looked VERY VERY easy, and they sounded so good, so I decided to try them.

I live with the worlds pickiest eater – the boy will pick apart a bowl of rice to make sure he only gets the rice and none of that “yucky” stuff. Fixing something new is always a risk, but since we won’t have any of the girls until after Christmas, today was the perfect opportunity.

I’d say total time in the kitchen was 30 minutes from start to finish (yes, Mom, I did the actual cooking and the world did not come to an end), and they were so easy and YUMMY! Lindsay didn’t say how she served them, so we had ours with whipped cream and strawberries. We both decided that the girls will probably love these – now I can’t wait for them to get home so they can try them, too.

Thank you, Lindsay, for the recipe, and for sharing your tradition with me.

Merry Christmas!
