Chicken . . .

Pox!

Last Thursday morning before school, Harley was complaining about a little “pimple” she had on her cheek. I took a look at it and told her she’d just have to wait until it went away, that there wasn’t anything I could do about it and off we all went to school.

Friday morning, she had two of these “pimples” on one side and one on the other cheek. No biggie, right? I thought that well maybe she’d had an allergic reaction to something, and got a rash. That’s logical, she does have REALLY sensitive skin, so off the girls went to the babysitter’s and off I went to work.

So Saturday morning, we get up, and I’m getting ready to head to Union with the basketball teams and she comes in complaining even more. This time there’s a ton on each cheek, it’s spreading down her neck, and she has a couple on her shoulder. Scott took her to the doctor and he confirmed what we were starting to think, it is definitely Chicken Pox!

She’s pretty bummed because she has to miss two weeks of school and she was trying to get the perfect attendance award again, and because we had her homework sent home to her so she doesn’t fall behind. Emma’s already had them, so hopefully it doesn’t hit Katelyn and Reagan, too.

Here’s our little polka-dotted girl!

She just looks evil here, fangs and all!
