Tonight was Heppner High School’s annual Night of Excellence. It is the one night of the year when they celebrate the students’ academic achievements, and varsity athletic awards. The evening starts with an ice cream social and a video slide show of pictures from throughout the year.
Emma received four awards total. She received her first varsity letters in volleyball and basketball, and she received her second varsity letter in track. The fourth award she received was the ‘Tri-Sport Athlete” award, given to the students who letter in three sports.
I am so proud of all the hard work she has put into everything this year – academically and athletically. She has had great grades, and continues to work hard to make them better. She also started putting in extra time on her own to better herself athletically. For example, she started a new workout routine nightly with her dad to prepare for track, and her hard work has paid off. She is excelling in everything she does.
To my Divine Miss Em – I am so very proud of you! You are growing into a beautiful, lovely, and caring young woman, and I am proud to call you my daughter.
