Welcome to To Do Tuesday – October 3

TDTuesday

Christine at Stitch ALL The Things hosts To Do Tuesday.  TDT is a great weekly motivator to finish projects and (for me) to keep my To Do List manageable.

My list from September 26:

1.  Leggings & Shirts for Harley
2.  Dress Pattern Pre-Test
3.  Cardigan Pattern Test

Yay for two days of nice weather!  We were finally able to finish the caulking around the new siding Friday, and we painted the main body of the house on Saturday!  We couldn’t have asked for more perfect timing – Mother Nature decided to send down-pouring rain our way Sunday.  All we have left to do is paint the trim and doors!

1.  Leggings & Shirts for Harley

Harley started working as a receptionist at a beauty salon last month, and the dress code for work is black, white, or gray.  Additionally, she has to wear black pants to school. She asked me to make her some black leggings.  I have quite a bit of black, white, and gray fabric, so I’m going to make her a few tops, too.

2.  Dress Pattern Pre-Test

So, this pattern is going to be so absolutely amazing, and I can’t wait to show it off!  I have to admit that I had to get over all sorts self-image issues to test and wear this pattern, but it is perfect!  The pattern has just about finished up the pre-testing phase, and is going to head into full testing soon.

3.  Adult & Youth Cardigan Pattern Test

I hate when I can’t share pictures or information about projects I’m working on because I love them so much, I can’t wait to share them!

4.  Sweater Pattern Test

This test ends this week, so I will be able to share pictures next week.  It is not a style I would have chosen on my own, but I actually really like it and the way it fits!

New Items:

1.  Top Pattern Test

I began working on another pattern test this week, as well, but it is a quick and easy sew, so it hasn’t added a burden to my time.

My to-do list for this week:

1.  Leggings & Shirts for Harley
2.  Dress Pattern Pre-Test
3.  Cardigan Pattern Pre-Test
4. Sweater Pattern Test
5. Top Pattern Test

What are you working on?

  1. Your sewing week looks packed full. Looking forward to seeing that dress when you can share it. Your house project is looking great. Our house is a fixer-upper so projects are always on going.

    1. I totally get the fixer-upper! Ours was built in the early 80’s, and we’ve spent the past three years doing a total overhaul. We had renters in it while we both finished college, and when we were ready to move back in three years ago, we gutted the inside and re-did it. The past two summers, we’ve been working on updating the outside.

  2. The house color is AMAZING!! And, wow, what a busy week! I always appreciate you linking up and I love seeing what you’re working on. I’m sorry for my late visit to your post!

    1. Thank you! I can’t wait to get the yellow doors finished (hoping the weather is nice enough this weekend). I also have a whole bunch of iris and day lily bulbs from my neighbor to put in our front flower beds. Super excited!

Thank you for commenting, I love hearing from my readers!
