Harley’s Graduation!

You are educated. Your certification is in your degree. You may think of it as the ticket to the good life. Let me ask you to think of an alternative.
Think of it as your ticket to change the world.
~ Tom Brokaw

Harley’s high school graduation was last Friday, and she closed the door on a four year adventure. Four years as a three sport athlete, active member of extra-curricular activities, and four years of adventures.  I am constantly saying it, but it is absolutely true – we, as parents, have been so very blessed with Harley.  Harley is strong, confident, independent, stubborn, and determined.  She is also good, caring, compassionate, and kind.  She is adventurous, daring, hilarious, and quirky.  Harley has grown into an amazing young woman, and we are thankful every day to be her parents.
Graduation Party
Harley and her friend, Karley held their graduation party together, and we held it in the afternoon before graduation.  These lovely young ladies are two peas in a pod!  It was great to celebrate the two of them together!  Thank you to our family and friends who came to celebrate our girls, we appreciate your support and dedication to our girls!
Graduation
We are very lucky in Cove because a local photographer attends all the senior “activities” and takes pictures, so we don’t have to stress about getting seats or photographs at an event, and we get to just enjoy ourselves.  I did take some images during graduation, though, and even though they’re not technically perfect, I love them!  I cannot wait to receive our copy of the CD of pictures from Susan because I have no doubt they will be amazing (she is an outstanding photographer)!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor.  Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
~ Mark Twain
Harley – We are more proud of you that you will ever truly understand.  We are proud of your achievements, thirst for adventure, work ethic, and sense of humor.  Most of all, we are proud of the woman you have become.  We love you, Bug!
