After Christmas Break was over I made a list of all the things I didn’t get done around the house that I planned on getting done during Spring Break. Then I went back to work. Winter Term classes started, as well. The girls had many activities, and we enjoyed our lives for those two and a half months. For a reason I have yet to figure out, though, all those activities took much more out of me than I expected. I headed into Spring Break with every intention of completing most of that list I made at the end of Christmas Break.
I didn’t. I only completed a couple of the items on my list. I don’t, however, feel like I failed. I spent a lot of time with our girlies. We laughed, played, watched movies, rested, and spent many many hours together. I may not have accomplished anything on The List, but I accomplished so much more.
I got to just be MOM, which is the best thing I’ve ever accomplished!
At the end of Spring Break I took those four beautiful girlies to Portland to see CATS! They loved it – they liked the music, but they were amazed at the costumes and make up. I had never seen it before, either, and I absolutely loved it! After the play, we had dinner and spent the evening at the pool of our hotel.
I didn’t check very many things off my to-do list during Spring Break, but I made some fantastic memories with my beautiful girls and that’s all that matters.
