Kitchen Choices

I know it seems like a LONG way off, especially since we don’t even have any walls built yet, but I thought I’d share the choices we’ve made for our kitchen.  One of the reasons we had to make these choices now is because there is a lengthy lead time from the time the cabinets are ordered to when they are delivered.   

This is a picture of a kitchen with the same cabinets we chose.  The other picture is what our doors will look like.  We love how warm the cabinets are.  We’re pairing them with a dark countertop, but we haven’t chosen our floor tile yet.
 
 
 

 

 

  

 We decided to go with all black appliances (we already have the refrigerator).  This is the first time I will have a separate cooktop from my oven, and I am SO excited!  It is the one big thing I wanted for the kitchen.  It will be in the island, and the oven will be in the cabinet behind it.  The microwave will be in the cabinet above the oven.

     

One of the problems we have with our current house is that the dishwasher is so loud it really prohibits conversations, TV watching, and general use of our livingroom.  We got this dishwasher that is SUPER quiet.  We’re really excited about it.

We love that the decisions we’re making now are actually some of the “fun” decisions.  We’ll keep everyone posted!
