Mom, wook!

Reagan: “Mommy, wook at my woose tooth, its awmost weady!”

Mom: “Oh, Reagan, it’s bleeding a little, go get some toilet paper to hold on it, then I’ll look again.”

Reagan comes back blotting up the tiny bit of blood around the tooth.

Mom: “Ok, let me see this now . . . I’ll just wipe your tooth a little.”

At which point, I just squeezed a little and yanked out her tooth.

Mom: “Look what I have in my hand, Reagan.”

Reagan: “Howy cow! I wost my first tooth!! Aawon, wook, Mom has my tooth!”

It’s the first one she’s lost the “normal” way. Three years ago when she was 2, she was playing in the babysitters playhouse and decided she was going to haul a bucket of rocks into the playhouse by dragging it up and over the rail with a piece of rope. She started losing her grip on the rope and tried to hold it with her teeth while she got a better grip on the rope. Luckily, our babysitter actually found the tooth. The permanent tooth to replace it still hasn’t grown in.

She’s so excited she finally lost a tooth! We tried to get some pictures of it, but since it was on the bottom, we had a little trouble as you can see from the funny face pictures.

She’s a happy girl ~ she’s been working on the tooth off and on for over two weeks!
