Traveling through time

Last weekend, I took a short drive to Sumpter just to do some sight-seeing. When I got there, The Sumpter Valley Railroad was running one of its steam engines, so I decided to go for a ride. It was a 12-mil round trip, and it took an hour and forty-five minutes. It was so cool to realize that in its heyday, that was “THE” way to travel.

It was great to be forced to slow down and take life in. I loved it!

I love days like this.
