FANTASTIC Wedding!

I shot the most FABULOUS wedding this past weekend! It was located at The Dalles Ranch, which is about 25 miles South of The Dalles. It is an absolutely breathtaking area, beautiful grounds, and stunning scenery. The main lodge house can hold up to 21 people, and the grounds are able to accommodate camping, either in tents or campers. There is a fabulous view of Mt. Hood from the porch of the house, as well!

I absolutely loved this tub, it was in the bathroom where the bridal party all got ready.

My favorite image of the entire day is this next one. It is the “first look” image I took right as the groom saw his bride for the first time that day. He was absolutely speechless, and overcome. It was a beautiful moment, and I am honored to have been there to capture it. It is one of those images that just speaks volumes to you when you look at it.

So, what do you do when you’re a nervous groom getting ready to get married? Why you play pool and throw horseshoes, of course!

Finally, it was time for the ceremony. We all braved 90 degree weather and full sun, and we all survived. The bride and groom were so sweet, and so genuine, it made my job so easy, it was wonderful!

The groom’s son was his best man, and he is just the cutest thing! He took his job very seriously, and during the toast, cracked up the entire crowd when he stated, “To my new mom, and my ‘OLD’ dad”! He was quite funny!

The Maid of Honor and the Bride. No-one caught the bouquet ~ seriously! All the single ladies just watched it hit the ground, so the bride picked it up and “made” the maid of honor take it.

The bride and her dad in a completely natural moment. I don’t think either one of them realize I took this picture.

And, the rings.
