I always turn to my parents when I am going through any sort of trial or need advice, and it seems I have been on the phone with them constantly this week. Seeking advice, getting a pep talk, or just to hear a friendly, reassuraing voice on the other end of the line. Each time I talked to my parents, I felt better and more secure in my decision.

Today at work, a man came in carrying a HUGE bouquet, and when I asked him if I could help him, he said, “Yes, I have a delivery for Amy Tolar.”, I just about fell over. Val (my office mate) jokingly said, “Did you and Aaron get in a fight this morning?” I thought maybe Aaron had sent me flowers just because.

When I read the card, though, I almost cried. Inside, it simply said, “We’re so proud of you! Love Mom & Dad”. They always know just what I need, and when I need it. I guess you’re never too old for the healing love of Mommy and Daddy. It totally turned my day around, and I am so thankful for them!
