Busy, Crazy Life

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been almost three weeks since I posted on my blog. That seems almost unreal to me, especially with so much going on these days. The same time basketball started, I started my new job as the Assistant to the Athletic Director and Registrar at the High School. I love my new position, and I’m having a great time learning everything. The best part of it right now is that I am still teaching Corrective Reading two periods a day, which I LOVE! The kids I work with are all so wonderful, I really enjoy it!

Basketball is still going well, and I think we’re going to have a great season! The Lady Knights are working hard to build their team and have a successful year. Our motto this year is “it’s all about attitude”. Whether the teams win or lose, it is our attitudes and the way we behave that will make this a successful season. Losing gracefully and winning humbly are some of the most important lessons we can teach these girls.

We had a very quiet Thanksgiving as all our girls were at their other parents’ houses, so Aaron and I were all alone. It was pretty weird at first, but we really enjoyed our time. I have so much to be thankful for, I couldn’t even begin to list it, so I’m not going to try. I will just say I am thankful to be me.

Tomorrow is starting a new week, and possibly the first “real” signs of winter according to the forecast. I had slush on my window this morning, so we had some signs last night. I would love for a nice thick blanket of snow ~ I miss having a lot of snow duirng the winter. For now I’m going to be content with looking at pictures from last years winter.

Have a wonderful week!
